Overview
After learning about how landfills deal with garbage, 3rd graders at Bruce-Monroe Elementary wanted to find a solution to the single-use plastic spoons and forks they used in their cafeteria. They applied for an Eco-Audit Grant to bring reusable silver flatware to their cafeteria, eliminating 210,000 pieces of plastic cutlery used in one school year!
