Explore EcoRise and Gen:Thrive Sessions at the Green Schools Conference

The sessions EcoRise will be facilitating will highlight how districts, educators, nonprofits, and industry partners are working together to strengthen climate education and student pathways.

Connecting Dots to Amply Efforts | February 18th, 1–2pm

This session showcases how San Diego County Office of Education, Ten Strands, Gen:Thrive, and SubjectToClimate are linking district initiatives, teacher support, and data-driven tools to strengthen climate education. Through real-world examples, presenters will illustrate what effective cross-sector collaboration looks like in practice. Participants will gain actionable ideas for aligning and amplifying sustainability efforts in their own communities.

Encouraging Bright Futures: Student Engagement in Solar Energy | February 18th, 1–2pm

This session will illustrate how Austin ISD is using solar infrastructure not only to cut costs and reduce its carbon footprint, but also as a launchpad for educational enrichment and workforce readiness. This session is ideal for educators, school leaders, and industry partners interested in realistic approaches to connect facilities, curriculum, and community partnerships to support enriched learning and green career pathways. Austin ISD will be joined by Axis Solar and EcoRise to share lessons learned and resources with participants.
