Overview

Nimitz Middle School students wanted to find a way to help their community, benefit the earth, and improve their outdoor learning space at school. Two groups of students applied for Eco-Audit Grants and will use the funds to build a chicken coop, and watering and feeding system! They plan to raise chickens that will produce 1,250 eggs per year for the school pantry, which families-in-need will have access to.
