Dear Community,
If you’re like us, you believe that environmental education and local climate action are crucial to building a healthy and just world. At EcoRise, we are committed to ensuring that students and educators from all backgrounds and geographies are receiving education and career exploration experiences that prepare them to be resilient green leaders, like Youth Council Alumni Analisa Wood and veteran educator Cherice Greene.
Leaning into our core values of resilience and being leading-edge, EcoRise continues to innovate and meet the evolving needs of our educators and students across the U.S. As we reflect on 2024, we are celebrating so many accomplishments and special moments. Over the last year, 3,107 educators accessed our curricula and 125 student projects brought sustainable solutions like school food forests and AI waste sorting to life across the U.S. Equitable, new pathways were designed for high school students to explore emerging green careers. 66 Youth Climate Council members worked with municipalities to improve local climate resilience and 44 youth completed deeply impactful internships that supported local climate action.
The EcoRise community makes it possible for us to support educators and students across the country. As we look to the future, the incredible work our students and educators do is more critical than ever. Our winter fundraising campaign ends December 31, 2024. Please consider pledging $5 (which will be tripled and turned in $15 thanks to our Leadership Matching Fund) to help us fund more school sustainability projects, connect more classrooms to environmental literacy, and create more green career exploration opportunities in 2025.
With your support, we are poised for an even more impactful 2025. May your holiday season be full of love and joy and your 2025 be bright! 💚🌎📚🌟 Together, #WeRise.
